A multi-head ultrasonic welding machine mainly consists of the following parts:
1. Ultrasonic Generator: Converts mains power into high-frequency electrical signals, typically operating at 15kHz-40kHz.
2. Transducer: Converts the electrical signals into mechanical vibrations, usually made of piezoelectric ceramic materials.
3. Welding Head (Tool Head): Directly contacts the workpiece, transmitting vibrational energy; its shape needs to be customized according to product requirements.
4. Pneumatic System: Provides welding pressure to ensure tight contact between the workpiece and the material.
5. Control System: Sets welding parameters and monitors the process; modern equipment often uses touchscreen operation.
The workflow consists of three stages: the workpiece is fixed in the lower mold; subsequently, the welding head, driven by pneumatic pressure, presses the workpiece and initiates ultrasonic vibration; after vibration stops, pressure is maintained briefly to solidify the molten material.
Multi-head ultrasonic welding machines excel in the following areas:
1. Automotive Manufacturing: Used for welding plastic parts such as dashboards, door panels, and bumpers, providing good sealing and no pollution.
2. Electronics and Electrical Appliances: Welding battery tabs, wire harness terminals, etc., to prevent damage to precision components from high temperatures.
3. Packaging Industry: Sealing non-woven masks, medical protective clothing, etc., quickly and with clean edges.
